It don't belong to me. He don't belong to you. It belongs to God. And that's what makes it so important and valuable as I look back. I see all these pretty girls and he's handsome little boys. And these Mama's all prettied up and he's tired looking all handsome. I'll tell you what just a good-looking bunch here today, aren't they? Praise? God give yourself a hand.

We've got several visitors today and I am not attempting to call your name. But we're so thankful. You're here. I'm so glad you chose to come and spend the Easter Sunday morning. Just a few minutes with us and I'll tell you what, we've already seen America already today. We've already seen a miracle. It was a miracle to see Desiree standing up here and singing with Ryan.

Is there an awesome awesome job? Did she not we're so proud of her and Brad both are just they're just doing a wonderful job and we appreciate him so very very much. I want to talk to you about something very important this morning. Anytime you talk about Jesus importing, right? Absolutely. There's nothing more important because this is a day. That we're celebrating a Jesus not being in the grave anymore. He's risen.

So he's not here he is risen. And that's exactly what I want to talk about. If you want to stand a read you a verse of scripture and then I'll read you a few more just a little bit later. But then after we pray you can be seated Matthew 28 in verse 26. He is not here. For he has risen as he said come see the place where the Lord lay. Let's pray father. Thank you this morning God for those that chose to be in your house. Thank you this morning God for your peace and your mercy and your love. Thank you God that we have a place we can come and worship you today and we ask God that you would just move in a special a glorious way and I asked this morning God that you let me hide behind the cross just use my voice God, but let you speak to me this morning because God you're so important and valuable and we need to share you with other people. This morning to allow the Holy Spirit to intervene and help us to do. And a glorious in the mighty name of Jesus no give you thanks praise glory and honor for it all in. everybody says

Give me set up a little bit. Give a mouse a little girl was asked by her Sunday school teacher. What is today? Easter she said very confidently. What happens on Easter? Ask the teacher? She replied Jesus came out of the Tomb and if he sees his shadow, he'll go back in for 7 weeks.

Now that's an honest that little children. Are they tell it like they think it is right there so valuable so important but we're here this morning to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The resurrection is a Cornerstone of our faith. Our faith is predicted on the belief that Jesus not only died on the cross. But he also rose from the dead if it were not a reality there would be no Christian faith. Did you ever think about The first sermon ever preached that was recorded in the Bible. The first sermon was preached on the day of Pentecost and it was preached by a person named Peter and it was a sermon on the resurrection. and in the book of Acts chapter 2 begin with verse number 22 and here's what he said your man of Israel hear these words Jesus of Nazareth a man appeared approve scuse me of God of Miracles and wonders in sign which God did buy him in the midst of you as you also know him being delivered by the determinate counsel. And foreknowledge of God, you have taken and by Wicked hands have crucified in slang. Matthew 27 tells us that he placed the Seal of the Tomb and guards to protect it. Even though if they had decided they wanted to take Jesus body out. They couldn't because number one that had guards there and then number two. There's two must see old with a big Stone Not only was it roll but for the door of the Tomb but it was sealed and sealed tight where there was no way that the disciples could sneak in the night and steal the body of Jesus. There was no way that they could do this but Jesus and his resurrection. It would rise and their their lives would be a very different time from then on they did not steal the dead body of Jesus and his body was not stolen. God had raised him from the dead, you know, everything that God has a plan for the devil devil has an counter-attack he come back and he tries to make it seem or appear that God was wrong and God lied or the word of God is not true. But the word of God is truth and it'll always be true and we need to understand how good and wonderful and mighty the word of God really is so when Jesus met his disciples after the resurrection he met them and I'll buy the farm. He met them and bodily form just like he normally would but many new age religions. Try to say that Jesus did not rise bother me, but he only Rose spiritually but this is not true as listen to what the scripture said just a second here. But listen to Jesus he is all words and looks chapter or looks gospel chapter 24 verse 39 notice. He said the whole my hands and my feet. That it is. I myself handle me and see for a spirit has not Flesh and Bones as you see me how when Jesus came even though. He been resurrected still yet. It was different and they can say whatever they want to about him just being a spirit but he was not just a spirit. He was more than a spirit because he said the whole or in other words. Look at my hands and feet. It is me or it's it's I myself instead of handling and seen. And we know one person one of the disciples said hey unless I place my finger in the in the nail scars in his hands and trust my hand in his side. I won't believe that he's a risen Christ, but I want to tell you something folks. I don't have to put my hands in the scars and his hands. I don't have to thrust my hand in his side because I know without a shadow of a doubt. He was Jesus when he rose again, so he rose from the grave as not just a spirit notice is not just a force not just an energy but as a glorified body of flashing people try to explain who Jesus was what he look like and all of this now that we know that Jesus is it is still the same Jesus and he always is and he always will be so Jesus rose and turn on from the grave. He was not the first to be raised from the dead though. And I know there's something here very very important. He was not the first to be raised from the dead Elijah and Elisha saw people raised from the dead are raised the young man from the dead and he fell out the window and and killed himself and broke his neck when he fell out the window and Jesus also raised others from the dead himself such as Jesse's daughter that the Widow's son at Nan and then Lazarus of Bethany and we saw been raised from the day but there's a difference and I'll tell you about it just in a minute or a few minutes maybe so what separates Christ's Resurrection is there all of these others that were raised from the dead they died again, Every single one of them jairus's daughter even Lazarus himself, all of these other sees widows and so forth with his sons all these he died.

And Jesus raised them from the dead they died again. Now it's amazing to me how that sometimes people try to explain all this away. But hey still yet. Jesus was different. He is called the first fruit of the resurrection and it's so important for us to understand this never never before has anybody ever been raised like him now when Jesus went to the tomb of Lazarus, he just said roll the stone away and then he said Lazarus come forth. And Lazarus came waddling out in grave clothes. And let him go get those grave clothes off. He's not dead anymore. He's alive. So this is exactly what he did but in 1st Corinthians, 15:20 says now is Christ risen from the dead and become the first fruit of them that slept in that amazing. He was the first raised Jesus from the grave amazing how that he came out of that grave. Nobody stood there and said, hey Rolling Stone away taken away and come forth and all of this because God already had a plan and when this happened he came out Jesus rose Victorious from the grave when Jesus walked, Death death and the grave lost their sting and Jeff talked us and son is good this morning 1st Corinthians 15 and 55 The Sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law, but the Bible says that he came for us from the grave with the keys of death and hell and His Hands he came to call the devil once and for all and this is what we're so happy about it today. Praise God he come out of that grave. He didn't come out empty-handed take come out Victorious. He still Victorious and bless God. We're so happy and celebrating this today because I have a great and wonderful things that took place praise God. He took the keys of death and Hell I had him in his hands and Revelation 1 and 18 says I am he that liveth and was dead in the whole I am alive for Evermore. Amen and have the keys of hell and I'm there. She's got the keys folks. It's all about Andrew Jesus Christ. And if so, wonderful and great and powerful of what Jesus did for us. I'm telling you we can do a lot of things to help one another or try to destroy one another Jesus did a lot to help us heal by lease end once and for all because we were on that it under a bondage of seeing it seemed with no help but Jesus gave us hope when he died for our sins and when he went into the tomb and it came out Victorious with the keys of death hell and has a grave praise God the grave couldn't hold him death cannot harm. Hey, why season the grave death had no, no no bond on him then and the stone could not even darken the light of the world because they had this they had this to moan this Stone on the two and it seemed like that. He was forever going to be there just like other people that but in the Tomb but not so let me give you a little demonstration England defeated during during the war of Waterloo. The Battle of Waterloo scuse me. There was a man who was set to point the England Winchester Cathedral and he was waiting for a signal to see whether their company or their country scuse me and won the war. At the light signal begin to shine fall begin to roll in and the Watchmen read the signal which said England defeated. He signaled the news to the other Watchmen and it spread all across the countryside and all we're devastated by the tragedy. The notice says damn the fog lifted in the Watchmen discovered that the true signal said England defeated the enemy happy and joyous where they and they were overflowing with gratitude because England had one I want to tell you. I'm Good Friday. It seems a message is that Christ Was Defeated he was not defeated because on the third day they discovered that the message was he has risen and He Is Alive forevermore you see when we think about this Good Friday thing and lot of people says there's nothing good about it. And I'm really there's not in a sense other than that was when that Supreme sacrifice died and hung on the cross of Calvary and they took his body down and they wrapped it engraved closed and put it in tomorrow to him because he didn't even have a tomb but they put him Borrowed time because he knew he wouldn't need that to him. Very long. He knew he wouldn't be in there very long. So why in the world worry about it? But the good part about it. He came out Victorious you see the resurrection reverse is what it seemed because Christ defeated the enemy he defeated the devil once and for all can you say man? It's amazing how good that God is I was talking about how pretty and handsome The Children looked this morning. I like to give you another little story a little little stration. Phillips MTA a young boy named Phillip Ingram attended a Sunday school class where the other kids didn't mop his problem. They also didn't include him include him either one week before Easter the teacher gave all the plat all the children a plastic egg and feel the eggs with something that represented Easter the next week all the children gave their eggs to the teacher opening them one by one they discuss how each one had a flower petal another had a leaf and so on and all represented spring and a new life, but the teacher then came to an empty a amazing. It was Philip HEPA. She believed and then she put it aside thinking he must have not understand them understood the project objective.

Jesus said suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not for such as a kingdom of God Little Children teach adults some great lessons sometimes and those great lessons are we need to listen to what they're saying more sometimes than we do. But the great fact is in the history is at the tomb is empty too often. We get carried away or caught up in a celebration of Easter and we forget we're really celebrating. I'm telling you folks. We're not celebrating. Just the fun times are. But we're celebrating Jesus and his empty to celebrate in the warmth of spring. We hope it's getting warm out there. But the resurrection of the king he died for our sins and was raised to life or justification Because He Lives we can face tomorrow his resurrection Resurrection when it comes when he comes again at believers. There's can never harm us because Jesus has conquered With Victory and with eternity. We should never want to stand. Well rather we should want to stand today. We oughta want to stand on the housetop and declare something very special. He has risen. He has not been alive for Evermore from the Housetop bucks because it's true and it's very important and very valuable of what God can do.

I want to give you one more illustration.

It is terrible to wake up Easter morning and have no voice at which I can shout he is risen, but it would be even more terrible if I had a boy and not want to shout. Jesus is risen Hallelujah forevermore. Yeah. Well he has risen he is not here anymore. And if we have that boys that God has given us he's giving some boys to praise him and lift him up in the Magna Pride him. Why because it's a terrible thing to have a good strong boys and use it for the devil in the devil's Works rather than the YouTuber God In His glory so-called is the one at work we're looking to today and we're giving him. Thanks and praise why because God sent his son. They made it all possible now that we can leave this place. A person if we want to you see he give a real person or Freewheel. You don't have to live in send you don't have to live for God can do all kinds of things if you want that your own free choice, but there's two point one of them is good and the other bad if you live good we're going to go to heaven now, I'm talkin about being born again and live your life for Christ. But if you're living like the devil and you just say I will make things right down the road somewhere. I'll make things change. It'll be a different world would be a different thing somewhere because I'm going to make a change. Nobody wants to go to hell. I don't think do you I don't think nobody wants to go to a place because it's going to be a terrible Place folks. It's not going to be good if it's going to be a place a weeping and and gnashing of teeth torment. You'll be burning in Flames forever and ever and ever. No way out once you get there. You can show you recommend is really a hell well. Read in the Bible. That was a bad guy that was late at the rich man's gate. He begged just for the crimes of felt in the rich man's table. I'd say probably they mail sic the dogs on him. I don't know the Bible doesn't clarify that but they mail sick the dog to run them off. Get out of here you nasty looking thing. We don't want you here around this big nice Kingdom in my mansion and all of this. So he died. And then the rich man, he also died.

But the rich man being in the flame. He looked the far-off and he saw the rich but I mean the poor man the beggar he saw him. And when I saw him he was in the Abraham of Abraham in the bosom of Abraham, he was he was all cuddled up. He was being loved and he was being cared for and he was excited not there. But the rich man he was in torment. and he said would you just send the beggar and let him dip his finger in water and just letter drop fee on my tongue I want to tell you something folks the rich man had his choice. He had his time. He could have made the same Choice. It wasn't because Lazarus was poor man, cause he went to heaven it wasn't because he was any better than anybody else. You can be poor as job's turkey and still go to hell. Can you say a man? You can be rich is the richest Jew and over it is real, but you can still go to hell if you're not saying it takes giving your heart to the Lord plain and simple. There's no other way. There's no in-between. It's only true and by the shed blood of Jesus on the cross of Calvary that made it possible, but you have to accept that as as being that free gift that he's trying very best to give every single person in the entire world. It's a free gift. It's a free offer lot of times people see if something's free to must be a catch somewhere. I got news for there's no catch. There's no trick. It's a fact and it's true. Jesus

is the answer. You may have tried a lot of things you may have tried a lot of things satisfy this old Flash. But I'm telling you this Flash. It's going to wither away someday, but that inner man that lives forever. It's going to live forever somewhere. One of the two places that I give to you. I'm not trying to trying to make you feel bad about yourself, but I'm trying to get you to Face Reality today. Some of your parents here today, maybe you might want to think what you're teaching your children and training them. What kind of parent are you really being before your little boys and girls today? What kind of parent are you really doing? Are you training them up in the way of the Lord see the Bible says you could train them up to train them up the right way then when they get old, they will not depart from it all they may stray away and I hear people say, oh my goodness mom made me go to church. So I hate Church shame on you. Thank God for a mom that will bring their children to church. Can you say a man in a bad lot of time we say a mom but a dad has the same responsibility even if not more. So because Dad should be the one that takes the lead and get some mom by the hand and up for children get Mom by the hand and he gets the other the other side and March down the aisle and come to the house of God and hear the Betraying the talk folks. We're living in a very dangerous time.

I saw a little clip a little news clip this morning. David church. I didn't even give her it was. A hundred and some people killed because they bombed the church. I want to tell you thank God that we're able here in America and we can come to the house of God sure. There's enemies out there shortest people like to destroy ever church house and a state of Kentucky and around the world, but I want to tell you we have a place this morning and God has protected us he put Guardian Angels around 2 to take good care of us, and we did very very appreciative and allow God to help us come to the music, please. What a great God we serve. This one of the most precious thing that ever happened. Jesus has risen from the dead. Can we celebrate it by truly saying that he is my Lord and Savior? If he's your lord and Saviour, don't be afraid to shout it from the Housetop. But if he is not it'd be a great day right here today.

Man, what a great day, April 21st 2019 at the Ravenna Church of God, you can mark that down in history because it'd be a great time for you to make that change in your life. If you can't say today that you're saved. If you don't know for sure without a shadow of a doubt that you're ready to go to heaven. Hell I want to tell you if you don't know your Ready or Not Ready of cording the way I see it. But if you're ready, you know, you're ready and you need to be as an example. This is one of the greatest days that you could ever step out of that Pew today and walk down this aisle and give your heart to the Lord. He is here because he has risen from the dead.
